Jacqueline Qi Hu (b. 2004, China) is a multidisciplinary artist based in between London and Montreux. Drawing from her exposure to diverse cultures while growing up in different cities such as Beijing, Los Angeles, Geneva and London, her practice similarly spans across many different art mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, object activation and installation. Her work experiments with the idea of fast-paced globalization and a feeling of in-betweenness both thematically but also materially. Often touching upon her interactions and ensuing intertwinement of the different elements such as geographic location, visual language, religion and symbolism as a way to navigate the constantly changing idea of identity.
