Naomi Edwards - Peter's Dream

£12,000.00

Foundry bronze
87 x 20 x 21.5 cm
2026

Naomi Edwards is a sculptor whose practice emerges from the fertile intersection of spiritual, psychological, and material exploration. She creates hauntingly beautiful works in bronze, alabaster, resin, wax, and charred wood that mediate between dissolution and emergence, fragility and transcendence. Drawing from biblical narrative, allegory, and the symbolic potency of animals, Naomi probes questions of identity, presence, and the divine – immersing the viewer in a sensorial encounter with mystery and inner knowing. Her sculptures are both unsettling and compelling, glowing with inner light and held in shadow, speaking to our desire for authenticity and deeper human connection. Her career includes being sculptural assistant to world renowned sculptor Ron Mueck, leading the moulding and casting department for visionary Artist Kalliopi Lemos, as well as a teaching post in Technical Arts and Special effects at Wimbledon College of Art. She now runs her own sculptural fabrication studio in the South East as well as creating her own sculpture. Edwards' dual identity as both creative artist and technical specialist enriches her work. The precision, resilience, and innovation born of her fabrication background lend structural and symbolic depth to her sculptures, making them as conceptually robust as they are materially poetic.
