My artistic practice is rooted in portraiture, storytelling, faith, and lived experience. As a self-taught artist, I use oil and acrylic painting to create work that moves beyond physical likeness to explore the stories, emotions, and experiences behind the people I portray.
My current body of work, FAITH:33, is deeply personal. The number 33 represents both the life of Christ and 33rd Street in Indianapolis, where many of my formative experiences took place. Through contemporary portraiture, biblical imagery, urban environments, and symbolism, I explore how faith intersects with identity, struggle, protection, transformation, and perseverance.
Works such as Moment of Faith, Reborn, and Spiritual Realm examine different expressions of faith—from trusting God in uncertain circumstances, to spiritual renewal, to the unseen power of prayer. My goal is to create work that reflects my own testimony while allowing viewers to recognize pieces of their own experiences within it.
Ultimately, my practice is about transforming personal history into visual testimony—connecting faith, community, and the human experience through art.
