2024

Geoff Langan is an Irish artist living in Bristol. He works mainly with photography and has recently been using Artificial Intelligence as a significant part of his work. Langan is also drawn to capturing urban and industrial landscapes. He photographs in a deliberately stylised way that gives expression to subjects that are often overlooked. Langan began his photographic life from a studio in London. He worked for many of the premier magazines as well as Saturday and Sunday supplements. Photography eventually grew tired of Langan and it gave him up. He moved to Bristol and studied to be a counsellor, specialising in addiction. He returned to photography in 2019 and has since exhibited in several galleries around Bristol and also in London. Langan lives in Clevedon with his wife, their two fantastic children… a dog, two tortoises, various fish, a guinea pig and a slow worm somewhere in the compost bin.
