Careful observation and a deep involvement in the process of looking enables one to capture physical appearance as well as what goes beyond it, the ineffable qualities pertaining to each of us. A painting or a drawing by its very nature is a physical object occupying a certain space it is also a psychological and spiritual entity, gates through which we can enter into parallel worlds, which elude and yet define our conscious thoughts. The more we observe the more our sense of perception is sharpened, perhaps we are entering a symbolic dimension, speaking through a different kind of space that we all share consciously and unconsciously. I am interested in traditional skills as well as experimenting with different materials, mixing figurative and abstract elements. I graduated in Fine Art painting at Central St. Martins, going on to gain a postgraduate diploma in painting at the Royal Academy Schools. I have shown in China, Japan, England, Museo Filangeri Naples and Ciac Museum of contemporary art Foligno Italy.
